getting fingerprints taken

Fingerprinting Services

The sheriff's office provides fingerprinting services for in-county residents for a small fee. These can often be used for Self Defense Act (SDA) permits, employment, or background checks.

Fingerprinting appointments are required and available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10AM - 4PM and can be made via phone, (580) 688-3306. Walk-in appointments are not accepted.

Please note that while an appointment might be made, fingerprinting is performed by our staff inside of the detention center, and if an incident occurs in the detention center, they must tend to that first which may delay your appointment slightly. Additionally, no person under the age of 18 may enter the detention center, so plan for that accordingly. We ask that any child age 12 and under be supervised by another accompanying adult, otherwise children age 13+ may sit in the lobby at the discretion of the fingerprintee.
